Installing Ubuntu on Macbook Vs Windows

Hi,

Just started with Linux. Been trying to install 18.04/18.10 on both Windows and Mac.

Is dual-boot installation of OS on Windows machine easier and straightforward as compared to MacBook?

Tried several installation to install on my MacBook, but somehow the installation isn't that successful.

If it's really the case, I may consider getting venture and see see look look at some Windows machine (thinkpad?)
